Bearded lungwort (Latin: SCUTELLARIA BARBATA) is a perennial herbaceous plant that has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine for its anticancer effects and its ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Numerous pharmacological studies have demonstrated the anti-cancer, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immunostimulating properties of the plant. In vitro and in vivo laboratory studies have confirmed the plant's activity against bronchopulmonary infections, pneumonia and many types of cancer, including colon, stomach, lung, uterine, breast and prostate cancers. The bearded plantain plant contains substances that have been shown in studies to promote the death of ovarian and breast tumour cells. In addition to its anticancer effects, the plant has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immune-stimulating properties.
Pau D'arco (lat. Tabebuia impetiginosa). The most valuable part of the plant is the bark, which contains a unique substance called lapachol. It is this substance that has immune-boosting, antibacterial, antiparasitic and antifungal properties. Lapachol specifically inhibits the growth of cancer cells and reduces the pain of tumour growth. The plant extract is used to alleviate the symptoms of AIDS and some sexually transmitted diseases (gonorrhoea and syphilis) and skin cancer. According to laboratory studies, Pau D'Arco bark extract inhibits the growth of intracellular parasites and fungi, weakens and destroys cancer cells, reduces swelling, alleviates pain symptoms, strengthens the immune system, and improves the functions of the liver, kidneys and spleen, removes toxins and heavy metals from the body, can prevent the development of 23 types of cancer, including leukaemia, cervical, lung, thyroid cancer, and has active effects on other cancers, including Murphy-Sturm lymphosarcoma, Walker's carcinosarcoma, and Yoshida sarcoma.
